ProntaCorde Returns with Uplifting Piece ‘Feel Like Doing Some Dancing’

We first came across ProntaCorde over two years ago. A lot has changed since then, from a personal, global and cultural standpoint. Yet, the Mexican creative seems to have stuck by his guns, pursuing the same kaleidoscopic, imaginative and eclectic brand of electronica. Inspired by the likes of The Avalanches, among others, José-Alberto Gallegos crafts electrifying mash-ups that are both familiar and boundary-pushing. Simply, he sees music as a series of aural building blocks, borrowing from common formulas in order to deliver an exciting new sonic painting.

It worked for ‘Come And Feel My Music’ in March 2023, and it also works for ProntaCorde’s latest effort, ‘Feel Like Doing Some Dancing’, out now. In it, the keen listener will rejoice in the wonderful and vibrant tapestry built by the Mexican producer, busy sampling a variety of sources. From mangled spoken words to soul breaks, passing through hip-hop-flavoured beats and a general hint of world music. It’s almost legendary, still managing to place a catchy vocal piece as the track’s main focus.

Thanks to Abraham Madera’s mixing and mastering skills, ‘Feel Like Doing Some Dancing’ fully rises to its destiny, providing an uplifting, groovy and bright listening experience, one that evokes the ease of summer, and the joy of a Latin-themed party with friends. What more could you wish for? As ProntaCorde explains: “The song was inspired by that feeling when you hear a track that makes you want to dance. You’ve got the energy and the rhythm, but there’s still that sweet moment of anticipation—the gentle pull to get your partner to join you.”
