Zack Fowler Shares Punk Anthem ‘SOS’

There are a few different angles to consider when approaching Zack Fowler. First is the musical one: he’s part of the new wave of young talents pushing pop-punk at the scene’s forefront. He does so with natural eclecticism, organising punchy drums and fuzzy guitars around short bursts of electronic beats, always relying on his powerful vocals to steal the scene. Then, there is the human angle: judging solely from the music material, the project might appear relatively easy to relate to, almost not that deep.

Instead, Fowler has many inspirational tales to share with us, drawing from a complex and – at times – painful personal experience. After being expelled from multiple schools as a teen, he was finally diagnosed with ADHD, opening the door for reconciliation with himself, and a long yet fruitful journey of personal growth and self-improvement.

Today, Zack pursues his unfiltered artistry hoping to offer a glimpse of his personality and character. He certainly manages to do that: take ‘SOS’, for instance, one of Fowler’s latest singles. On a bed of rapturous and fierce punk material, the British talent builds a personal hymn in favour of asking for help when in treacherous situations. As he explains: “SOS is about a shell of a party life providing dopamine but inside trying to escape from it all. A cry for help that wasn’t heard over the noise of the party.”
