Tom Minor Returns with Critical Piece ‘Expanding Universe’

It’s been a busy period for Tom Minor. Following up on ‘Future is an F Word’, the English singer-songwriter now returns with another prophetic slice of ‘existential indie’, as he so eloquently defines his music. Minor has long been a keen observer of the troubled reality around us, wrapping his thoughts into musical livery for everyone to enjoy. ‘Expanding Universe’ is the perfect example of that.

Particularly critical of the current deep inequality in society and the unlimited power of global tech companies, together with the problematic Trump administration, ‘Expanding Universe’ seeks to metaphorically and elegantly wake up the listener’s inner conscience, eventually instilling a certain sense of resentment and rebellion in each one of us.

Interestingly, the song was actually written a while ago, a sign that darkness and injustice are always relevant, no matter the year. Produced by Teaboy Palmer and featuring the great musicians at Creatures Of Habit, ‘Expanding Universe’ is meaningful and creative, deep and nuanced. “Hey, it’s a life-long festivity of our feeble existence / Exercising our extra-territorial rights with minimal resistance” – sings Minor.
