The Storeys Return with ‘The One Who Makes Me Shine’

We were honoured to be able to write about The Storeys’ debut effort, earlier this year. Delving into ‘Self Love Affair’, we proudly declared it “an empowering little anthem of self-acceptance and resilience”. We stand by our words: The wife and husband duo has a special gift when it comes to writing poignant and vibrant pieces, steeped in personal reflection and authenticity.

Now, the Northampton-based pair follows up on their endeavours with latest single ‘The One Who Makes Me Shine’, another emotional song packed with heartwarming and passionate lyricism, driven by a sentimental character that perfectly matches the loving image that The Storeys champion so proudly.

Sonically, the record navigates organic pop territories, perhaps with a veiled retro quality. It’s all quite charismatic, making ‘The One Who Makes Me Shine’ a loving and appreciative anthem. Speaking about the inspiration behind it, the British pair explains: “This song is incredibly special to us, and we hope that it brings joy and inspiration to all who hear it. It’s a celebration of love and the people who light up our lives.”
