Lucy Wroe Unveils Hypnotising Jewel ‘Heartbeat Wipers’

We truly felt hypnotised when listening to Lucy Wroe’s latest effort, ‘Heartbeat Wipers’. Truly, it’s a beautiful, soothing song. Caressing the listeners with long textures and evocative, poignant vocals, the record exudes fragility and veiled nostalgia, the perfect match for such an ethereal and blissful production. Heartwarming and expressive, Wroe’s lyrical qualities are absolutely magnetising, taking us on a journey of loss and acceptance with a side of melancholic heartbreak.

‘Heartbeat Wipers’ was built with a decisively indie and bedroom pop footprint; starting from field recordings and a moment of artistic transcendency, it then developed over a simple layered arrangement, beatless and packed with long soundscapes. A sonic recipe that Wroe and her collaborator Philipp Koerver have certainly mastered.

The result is a powerfully lovable gem, a fleeting moment of love that takes the listeners by surprise. This a record that deserves a much bigger audience; Lucy, if you are reading this: you deserve the world, and ‘Heartbeat Wipers’ will gladly take you there.
