TATE SEDAR Widens His Artistic References in ‘San Francisco’

We recently featured TATE SEDAR with one of his remixes; well, this time around we’ll delve into his original catalogue, something that’s always evolving and refining its identity. Famous for EDM tropes and mainroom bangers, the American DJ and producer now jumps into electro-funk and chill territories, birthing a record that’s bright, groovy and uplifting, yet edgy and alternative. That’s ‘San Francisco’, out now,

Leaving behind the usual pop stylings, TATE SEDAR widens the scope of his artistry, finding inspiration in retro grooves and French influences. ‘San Francisco’ is what meets TATE SEDAR on the other side, an alluring and luscious record with a certain early ‘2000 flair, but also a modern chillwave and house character.

Eclecticism is the word here, with SEDAR now free to express himself freely. Speaking about ‘San Francisco’, TATE explains: “The track explores three major genre soundscapes of The City by the Bay: rock, should and hip-hop”.
