Rooue Gear Up for Debut EP with Anti-Love Banger ‘overdraft’

Is there any better way to get the week up and running than with a hypnotic, dark, and gritty alternative-pop banger? Intense and powerful, ‘overdraft’ is the brand new single from the London-based twin duo known simply as Rooue. An anti-love song about grappling with the realisation that a previous relationship had been emotionally abusive, ‘overdraft’ serves as a healing and therapeutic journey as well as a highly infectious and captivating pop tune.

“Writing this song inspired us to share the struggles and challenges that being in an abusive relationship can bring,” says the pair. “We wanted to make a song that we wish we could have heard when going through this situation and maybe help someone who hears it not to feel alone”

As two musicians who are undoubtedly aware of the impact that their art carries, ‘overdraft’ offers a poignant reminder that solidarity and comfort can be found even in the darkest of times.

I’ve been pleasantly nudged out of my musical comfort zone with Rooue’s latest track, and I couldn’t be happier! It’s an absolute winner from start to finish and, with a forthcoming debut EP on the way, I can’t wait to hear more from this talented twosome!
