Rogue Jones Shares Anthemic and Transformative Album ‘Dos Bebés’

The keen reader might remember Welsh duo Rogue Jones, having appeared on our pages not long ago. They have a very unique musical outlook, proudly endorsing their heritage and actively using authentic Welsh language in their songs. Make no mistake though, they are not a celebrative outfit: rather, their material stands up on its own, carried by the artistic magnitude of the two talented musicians. Previously writing about them, we declared: “You’ll feel surprised and excited when stepping into Rogue Jones’s eclectic and solemn artistic world.”

It turns out, we still are. We know because Rogue Jones are now back with a wonderful full album, ‘Dos Bebés’, a comprehensive body of work celebrating life, growth and the depth of human consciousness. Recorded over the span of five years, the record saw the Welsh talents becoming parents of two children, while witnessing the chaos, challenges and resolution life often brings along. In short, ‘Dos Bebés’ is the album that safely transports Rogue Jones to the other side of existence, embracing the many imperfections of our reality and seeing the beauty in every moment.

Musically, the recipe is the one they have got us used to: Anthemic, evocative folk, alternating short bursts of electronica to choral and multi-layered vocals. A transformative and celebrative record, use it well!
