Karen Harding Explores New Sonic Horizons in Double Single Release ‘It’s Okay’

The keen reader will gladly remember Australian songstress Karen Harding. Boasting an angelic voice and soothing acoustic vibes, the Melbourne resident has been mesmerising listeners far and wide. Writing about her latest EP, we proudly declared: “her signature intimate Folk tones have been a pleasure to reckon with, together with honest, authentic lyricism that doesn’t shy away from describing her own personal struggles and challenges.”

Now, Harding returns with the next chapter in her musical research. Collaborating with the Cologne Chamber Orchestra, she gives birth to a wonderful double single, ‘It’s Okay’ and ‘Greener On The Other Side’. Written by Karen Harding and produced by Argentinian P&M Records, ‘It’s Okay’ is a story of self-acceptance, while ‘Greener On The Other Side’ reflects on the fear associated with making big changes.

In it, the listeners will find a more nuanced perspective into the Aussie’s lyrical prowess. ‘It’s Okay’ explores a more eclectic arrangement, featuring drums and ukulele and highlighting the ethereal nature Harding’s vocals can assume. In a way, it is way more poppy than her previous releases. ‘Greener On The Other Side’ is a nice orchestral surprise, creating a whole new sonic universe informed by a vast variety of timbre and melodies.

Needless to say, Harding has big plans for 2023. Stay tuned!
