IRXIUM and OShane Team Up on Meaningful Leftfield Album ‘HOPE’

‘HOPE’ is an actual work of art, and as such, it should be celebrated. Meet IRXIUM and OShane

‘HOPE’ is not the sort of record that invites a quick, mindless listening experience. Instead, it embraces a highly conceptual and purposeful core, taking a cue from a rather tragic occurrence in IRXIUM’s life: the loss of his brother back in 2024. Stemming from unimaginable grief and pain, ‘HOPE’ functions as a cathartic tool for the American producer, as he picks up the pieces of such a hard-hitting event and seeks a workable way forward. As often happens, music and art came to the rescue.

Teaming up with lyricist and spoken word artist OShane, IRXIUM embarked on a nuanced and honest twelve-track album, a record where music leaves ample space for emotional words, a relatable stream of consciousness that’s likely to connect with a wide audience out there. IRXIUM plays with silences and beatless electronica, embracing minimalism while also not being afraid to experiment when needed. ‘HOPE’ is an actual work of art, and as such, it should be celebrated.

Delving deeper into the meaningful and introspective lyrical ethos that propels the record, IRXIUM explains: “When I lost my brother, the world felt incredibly dark and fragmented. I knew I wanted to build a body of work for people who find themselves in the exact headspace he was in. I wanted to create an album that people could carry with them through life, a literal piece of hope they can tap into whenever they feel completely overwhelmed. No matter how heavy things get, you are not alone.”
