Falling into View Return with Heartwarming Gem ‘Things (That I Thought Might One Day Be Useful)’

If you are looking for a heartwarming, meaningful record, you just found it. ‘‘Things (That I Thought Might One Day Be Useful)’ is the perfect example of that. Spearheaded by Hereford-based outfit Falling into View, the single offers a tender, evocative slice of soothing Americana and Country goodness, all wrapped into relatable and nostalgic songwriting. Lead singer Lyss’ malleable and potent female tone is a joy to listen to, with its gentle, hypnotic character delivering a tale of remembrance and connection.

In fact, much of the songwriting on ‘Things (That I Thought Might One Day Be Useful)’ can be attributed to Allan, serving as the main lyricism in Falling into View. Drummer Gordy, bassist Rob and guitarist Bernie complete the talented line-up. Overall, this is a project that doesn’t seek to reinvent the wheel, instead finding an elegant refuge in classic and familiar territories. There’s a lot of value in that: Falling into View already feel like an old friend, a wise, wholesome figure we can turn to in times of need. Their music might be uncomplicated, but it’s certainly steeped in personal experience and inspired creativity.

Recorded and produced at West Midlands-based Magic Garden Studios by multi-platinum and BMA award winner Gavin Monaghan, ‘Things (That I Thought Might One Day Be Useful)’ is a new, reassuring chapter of a band that’s already proven their value just with a handful of releases. Looking forward to what’s next.
