Don’t Miss Stefano Manotti’s Delicate and Soothing ‘Borsa Nera’

Music truly is a universal language. The fact that a song can so resonate with a person, irrespective of their understanding of the lyrics, is one of the most powerful phenomena I can think of. With that in mind, please give a big welcome to Stefano Manotti, an Italian singer/songwriter and guitarist. In January, he released a tune called ‘Borsa Nera’, which translates to ‘Black Bag’ in English. Delicate and subtle guitar work meets Manotti’s smoky, full-bodied, and heartfelt vocals before a charming and graceful piano is introduced to the proceedings. It’s absolutely beautiful! Perfectly layered and pieced together, ‘Borsa Nera’ transcends musical boundaries.

Almost a year ago to the day, Stefano released his debut EP entitled ‘Ideale’. It was incredibly well-received among all music critics, which can often add a layer of intimidation to one’s forthcoming work. Luckily, and unsurprisingly, Manotti passes this test with aplomb!

The musician credits the legendary multi-instrumentalist Giulio Carmassi (Pat Metheny Unity Group) for the track’s arrangement and mixing. It’s his first release so far this year, but I have a sneaky suspicion we’ll be hearing from Stefano again very soon. I believe his promising musical journey is just getting started!
