Blush Davis Shares Lush, Vibrant Gem ‘Lipstick on the Rearview’

Marking our point of entry into Blush Davis’s hypnotic aural universe, ‘Lipstick on the Rearview’ gracefully yet purposefully drags us into a world of lush and glittering pop goodness. Deeply contemporary and with hints of futurism, the track embraces an anthemic and evocative livery, offering hyper-pop flavourings to any observant listeners. Honestly, it’s a really good single, a strikingly potent yet tender effort, one that well showcases Blush Davis’ malleable and imaginative songwriting.

The German songstress has certainly been busy at work. ‘Lipstick on the Rearview’ is taken from her overarching EP ‘No Room For Two’, out now. In it, we discover a heightened sense of eclecticism, with the project confidently drawing from a wide pool of influences, be it the dance-oriented cut ‘Starlet’ or the poignant, introspective ballad ‘The Beach’. Whichever way you look at it, the record suggests Blush Davis as this mysterious and sui generis creative, a potent and wise figure floating freely between pop and leftfield.

Drenched in vulnerability and resilience, ‘Lipstick on the Rearview’ is a wonderful effort by Blush Davis.
