Parisian Talent Water Rise Shares Latest Effort ‘Hope’

As we all know, those are incredibly fragile and challenging times for our planet. Plagued by climate change and natural disasters, humanity seems to be slowly reaching a tipping point. A few heroes seek to inspire and empower an educated reaction, doing so through the art medium. Take for instance Parisian musician and producer Water Rise, now unveiling his latest effort ‘Hope’. A collaboration with British singer Wilko Wilkes, the record highlights the artist’s concern for the planet and the legacy we leave to future generations. Asking for a helping hand from listeners, Water Rise’s goal is to raise support and awareness for the matter.

We are keen to help: his work should not go unnoticed or unheard. A talented bassist and guitarist with a natural flair for performing music, Water Rise navigates a strong eclecticism, drawing from his rock roots to then jump to more modern sonic references, such as hip-hop and electronica. The result is a kaleidoscopic blend of organic and synthesised matter, fitting Wilko Wilkes’ MC style perfectly.

Speaking about the lyrical inspiration behind the track, Water Rise explains: “Planet Earth is not in good shape and it’s not going to get any better. I’m worried about the legacy we’ll leave to our children. With all the climate changes we are currently experiencing, it is obvious to me to support this cause.”

‘Hope’ also relates to his artistic identity, a flow of creativity that seems to be unstoppable: “When I compose, it’s a bit in this state of mind that I find myself, the ideas flow and I don’t close any door.”
