Tim Camrose Shares Reflective Jewel ‘Light In The Dark’

We are very aware of who Tim Camrose is, and so are many other listeners. A surgeon and university professor from Manchester, the talented creative has also developed a keen artistic career, embracing a singer-songwriter ethos that’s incredibly meaningful and purposeful. ‘Light In The Dark’ is especially relevant to his cause. Marking Camrose’s latest effort, the track draws inspiration from Tim’s past as a doctor for homeless young people who have been assaulted.

Released on World Homeless Day (October 1st), ‘Light In The Dark’ seeks to shine a musical light on what’s becoming a prominent issue in all societies, as poverty and hardship push more and more citizens onto the streets. From an aural standpoint, the single develops as an evocative ballad, yet it raises the intensity thanks to Collectives Gospel Choir, lending their anthemic, prophetic vocals to an equally powerful record.

Having worked all his life as a surgeon, Tim Camrose never really left songwriting behind. ‘Light In The Dark is taken from his 2022 debut album ‘Half of My Life’, and obviously, that’s as relevant today as it was yesterday. It’s good to see Tim rediscovering old material; we suspect there’s a great deal of artistic glory in it.
