Oh, The Pulltops, how we love thee! The Milwaukee-based duo have kept themselves pretty busy so far in 2023, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down with their brand new single ‘With You’. An 80s-inspired synth-pop ballad, it’s a tune that wonderfully showcases what The Pulltops are all about, as they get experimental with modern productions on top of layers of big drums and gritty guitar. It’s incredibly infectious and anthemic too – you can just picture Mark and Tom, on stage, belting it out to an adoring audience!
The musicians’ differing tastes when it comes to who they listen to and are inspired by, in my belief, is the very essence of what makes them so exceptional and one-of-a-kind. With Mark leaning towards old country and soul, and Tom more of an experimental and underground lover, the fusion of their sounds perhaps shouldn’t work. But it does! It very much does!
The Pulltops have been on our radar for quite some time now, and they seem to get better and better with each new release.
