THE HYBRIS Address Social Injustice on ‘The Game Of Cat And Mouse’

We have been proud fans and supporters of the international alternative rock act THE HYBRIS since the very beginning! From the gritty and punchy ‘What If’ to their rocky and hard-hitting ‘Celebrate The Good Times’, they’re a band that has thankfully never disappeared from our radar. Ringo Rabbit, Beanie Bison, and Malcolm Mandrill, as they like to be known, have now returned with another stellar tune in the form of ‘The Game Of Cat And Mouse’. Once again, there’s an unapologetic boldness to the track. It’s energetic, forceful, raw, and dynamic. It possesses the brooding intensity of a band like Joy Division, paired with the infectious hooks of acts like My Chemical Romance or Billy Talent.

Lyrically, ‘The Game Of Cat And Mouse’ “is about social disparity and injustice,” says the band. “One of the greatest and ever-growing evils of our time”. The song will form part of THE HYBRIS’ upcoming sophomore album, which will be released sometime towards the end of this year.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…THE HYBRIS create intensity and potency with their music. It’s what drew me to their sound from the very beginning, and it’s what has kept me engaged all the way through! The end of the year can’t come soon enough!
