The All’s Eye Return with Funk-Blues Extravaganza ‘Carriage House’

Emerging from Ari Joshua’s creative universe and artistic entrepreneurship, The All’s Eye trio sees fellow musicians Ben Atkind and Kris Yunker joining in on the fun, making for an elegant, witty trio constantly adventuring over blues and jazz territories with a rather funky flair. What more could you wish for? ‘Carriage House’ is perfect evidence of it. The All’s Eye’s latest effort, the record sees the three American talents embarking on a playful and groovy blues-funk exploration, one that’s primarily carried by Yunker’s nuanced Hammond expertise.

With the organ at its forefront, ‘Carriage House’ feels nostalgic and timeless, the perfect setting for Joshua’s imaginative, witty artistry. With Ari and Yunker exchanging solos, the overall listening experience is memorable and carefree, further enhanced by a wonderful vocal hook, a small addition that gives the record a point of resolution. The single was recorded at the iconic Carriage House Studios in Connecticut – hence its alluding title.

What’s more, The All’s Eye trio have just rounded off a run of shows in the Pacific Northwest, something that we are sorry to have missed. It all adds to their past shows in both the East and West coast. Yet, we are confident there will be many other occasions to enjoy the group’s heightened musicianship. Speaking about the project, Joshua explains: “This band has that chemistry you can’t manufacture. Everyone is so comfortable making new music and contributing to the overall sound from so many vantage points. Somehow, almost everything we have tried to do has ended up really cooking. It’s always a pleasure.”
