Sharon Katta Deals with His Inner Demons in ‘Detachment Theory’

Processing emotions is hard. Often, the coping mechanism we put in place to survive can trick us back into old habits and dark corners. Sharon Katta knows it well, so much so that he decided to put it in writing. ‘Detachment Theory’ is the result of such a meaningful premise, with Katta teaming up with fellow producer Nāt on what will be revealed as an intense, heartshaking anthem of decadence and honesty.

Hailing from London, producer, songwriter and singer Sharon Katta speaks for personal experience, having felt first hand the firm hand of emotional detachment and poor mental health. As he eloquently explains: “I’ve struggled with letting go of trauma, of my own wrongdoings, of negative people, and the chaotic headspace I’ve often lived in. These places that once felt like escapes eventually turned into prisons. This song is about that exact struggle – the push and pull between protecting yourself and breaking free.”

Such an authentic piece is then wrapped into a hard-hitting sonic livery, channelling pop melodies and alt-rock euphoria, all packaged within relatable, vivid, and expressive eclecticism. Katta’s vocals are to die for, incredibly dynamic and luscious, perfectly at home in such poignant melodies and catchy choruses. ‘Detachment Theory’ anticipates Sharon’s upcoming album, expected soon.
