Crowning a short yet fruitful artistic journey, British pop sensation SAPPHIRE unveils her latest effort, an EP that crowns a productive year for the talented songstress. Active in music since a young age, she’s built a loyal fanbase, particularly around her YouTube channel, which also functions as a catalyst for her recording career. Since 2020, SAPPHIRE has shared original material that greatly showcases the class and elegance she has to offer.
‘test drive’ navigates wholesome and emotional pop territories, often drenched in poignant and intimate productions. A slice of blissful energy and relatable lyricism, the EP is then crowned by SAPPHIRE’s evocative vocals, exploring themes of personal growth and relationship struggles. Crucially, the internet fame achieved through years of hard graft also provided a challenging few months, urging the young creative to widen the scope of her songwriting.
As SAPPHIRE explains: “I started writing this EP last year after experiencing one of the hardest moments of my life. I was getting an insane amount of hate online and it killed me inside. I felt lost, hurt, and completely out of control. I knew that the only way I could heal was by creating more music and testing out all sorts of different sounds…”
