Ryan Page Unveils Evocative Debut EP ‘Used To Be You’

Evocative and cathartic, Ryan Page’s debut EP ‘Used To Be You’ takes listeners on a meaningful lyrical ride, as the Scottish creative picks up the pieces of a messy breakup.

Following up on last year’s single ‘One Becomes Two’, Scottish singer-songwriter Ryan Page has now returned with his debut EP, ‘Used To Be You’. In it, we discover a wealth of introspective folk-leaning material, a collection of six songs that venture into the evocative aftermath of a romantic breakup. Built on crepuscular, acoustic tones, the EP feels truly restrained and reflective, a nugget of dreamy tenderness and nostalgic melancholia served with cinematic textures and relatable allure.

What’s not to like? ‘Used To Be You’ is an honest record, especially from a lyrical standpoint. In that sense, the EP also act as a potent cathartic release of sorts, allowing Page to process the sharp grief of losing a lover. Dundee-based production and songwriting duo SIRENS accompanies Ryan in his artistic journey, contributing to the overall arrangement and even being listed as a featured artist in ‘Little Did I Know’.

Delving deeper into the creative ethos behind ‘Used To Be You’, Page explains: “The writing for this EP came naturally to me. Having had quite a messy breakup in 2025, I knew that this EP would feature a lot of that topic. Friends SIRENS produced the EP, adding signature layers emphasising the dreamscape feel, which really helped convey the feeling of heartbreak even more. It feels like an EP you can just turn on and fall asleep to. Shut your eyes and be taken away by the music….”
