Richard Green Offers Up Gentle and Optimistic Stunner on ‘A Lesson’

Described by the artist as one of the sweetest songs he’s ever composed, ‘A Lesson’ is a gorgeous little tune courtesy of London-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Richard Green. Released in 2022 and formulated during the COVID-19 pandemic, the instrumental piece of music represented Richard’s hope that humanity would come out of quarantine for the better.

A delightful mix of pop-rock, ‘A Lesson’ is a soft and gentle track that takes listeners on a swayful journey of resilience and optimism, reminding us of music’s power to uplift and inspire. Green’s guitar playing is truly exceptional, and at times brings to mind the solo work of the legendary John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers).

Joined by his bassist Freddie and drummer James, the three gifted musicians effortlessly create a lush sonic landscape that is easy to get lost in. Seamlessly weaving together intricate melodies and harmonies, the formidable trio have concocted a world where troubles melt away and only the beauty of the music remains. Just superb!

Inspired at the time by The Beatles, Tracy Chapman, and the aforementioned John Frusciante, Richard Green is an artist who’s forging his own path in the music world, and we can’t wait to hear what he offers up next!
