Paper Daisies Return with Dark and Noisy Jewel ‘Take What You Need’

Wow! ‘Take What You Need’ is such a strong record! Introduced by a gritty working man distortion, the track then erupts into a full-on, hard-hitting grunge-y masterpiece. Laden with charismatic vocals and meaningful lyricism, the record is a proper stadium banger. Although Paper Daisies are not playing in big arenas yet, that’s exactly where they are heading.

Hailing from Nottingham, UK, the British outfit follows up on their 2020 debut single, ‘Green’. Sure, it took them some time, but Paper Daisies are back in their best form. ‘Take What You Need’, in particular, seems to engage in harder distortions and an overall noisier outlook, blinking an eye to post-hardcore influences and a darker vibe.

Comprised of Dan Bates, Ben Smith and Jake Mill, the talented Northern trio looks ready to take the next step – in fact, we can expect more releases from them later this year. Championing their newly-found melancholic, obscure character, Paper Daisies have never been better than now – embrace them!
