Nelida Oyma Shares Latest Composition ‘Silent Haze’

Parisian creative Nelida Oyma is back with another cryptic and hypnotic instrumental, the perfect blend of electronic minimalism and heartwarming guitar tones.

Following up on March’s ‘Electric Dawn’, Parisian producer and musician Nelida Oyma has recently returned with his latest effort, ‘Silent Haze’, a piece that reiterates the project’s instrumental focus and eclectic allure. Compared to its predecessor, the latest record feels a tad more experimental and unconventional, even a tad minimalist. The mix between guitar-coded flair and electronic sounds is ever-present, a feature that guides Oyma’s artistry as a whole.

Introduced by spacious and ethereal plucks, ‘Silent Haze’ embraces a certain hypnotic quality, a feature that slowly shifts into a more kinetic, simple beat and cold digital synths. The balance between synth work and guitars aids a certain contrast, sort of a sonic chiaroscuro, if you will. Gritty and noisy soundscapes help give the single a polite avant-garde sheen.

Despite its instrumental character, ‘Silent Haze’ has been crafted with wider symbolism. Delving deeper into the nuanced creative ethos that propels the piece, we are told: “It’s inspired by early mornings in the mountains, when fog slowly moves through the forest and clouds drift between the trees and the slopes. More than a place, ‘Silent Haze’ captures a fleeting moment: the fresh air, the light and the feeling of motion in a landscape that is constantly changing.”
