Mick J. Clark Asks Us to Leave The Planet How We Found It

Music can often be a vehicle of social change. In fact, it had a lot to do with all the steps forward we made as a society in the last 60 years. Mick J. Clark knows it very well, using his sharp and clever lyricism to highlight current burning issues and inspire change. The keen reader might remember a feature we did for him only last month, where we proudly declared: “Mick J. Clark is a force to be reckoned with. Through his music and his mission, he’s determined to make a positive impact on the world. We can all take a page from his book by spreading kindness and empowering others.”

It is now time to shine a light on another beautiful and crucial song by the British talent, ‘We Know It’s True’. In it, Clark seeks to empower the listener to take up firm and swift action against climate change. As he explains: “When I started work, there was a sign over one of the machines, it read, ‘Please Leave This Machine How You Would Like To Find It’! I have never forgotten such a great quote and my song, called: ‘We Know It’s True’, is about just that, leaving the Planet how we would like to find it!”

Musically, ‘We Know It’s True’ takes the shape of a slow ballad, built on organic arrangements and folk similarities. This is another gem from Mick J. Clark, showcasing himself as the inspired songwriter he is.
