Mark Walsh Reignites His Career with Impressive Single ‘SATURN’

Signalling Mark Walsh’s comeback to the international music scene, ‘SATURN’ is both sonically luscious and lyrically meaningful, showcasing the immense talent the American singer and songwriter has to offer. Hailing from Boston, Walsh found the inspiration to write ‘SATURN’ after watching the movie ‘Interstellar’. The blockbuster’s intricate pattern of time and distance sparked an introspective exploration steeped in poignancy and love, one that’s dedicated to Walsh’s girlfriend.

A nugget of contemporary pop and hip-hop elements, ‘SATURN’ is rather lush and evocative in its final form. Mark’s firm and dynamic storytelling works perfectly with such a delicate and meaningful song, taking listeners on a journey through space and honest affection. Adding to the pathos, the single also features real radio wave samples recorded in outer space, sourced from NASA recordings of electromagnetic waves captured from both Earth and Saturn.

Overall, ‘SATURN’ is a wonderful pop effort. We have no notes, as the song is very effective and inspiring. Relatable, catchy, emotional and uplifting – what more could you wish for? Look out for more, as Walsh will be releasing a new single every month. Reiterating the concept behind the record, the American creative explains: “I was driving to work one morning after, looking at the full moon and the opening lyrics just came to me, unlike anything before. I picked up my guitar when I got home, not knowing how it would come together… and from that came a space-themed love song, with every line inspired by my girlfriend and new love for space.”
