Major Kami Returns with EP ‘Infinite Light’

It’s Major Kami! They are back! An International collaborative project with strong French roots, it can be best described as a collective, powered by DAMde8. From it, Dan Burkhart and Denis Expert emerge, teaming up with a series of lead singers (such as Camille Miller, also a lyricist) to deliver stunning records balancing electronica, pop and retro influences. Writing about the project in the past, we proudly declared: “one can’t help but be mesmerized, taken aback by the magnitude of Major Kami’s sonic depth.”

Now, Major Kami is back with their latest offering, an EP containing two singles, ‘Infinite Light’ and ‘Mystical Musical Maze’. The former is a bright and eclectic slice of electronic pop, featuring spoken words, sampled vocals, and punchy beats. Engaging in witty and light energy, the song explores the heavy subject of individuality suppression in the face of a new religion.

‘Mystical Musical Maze’ is much more conventional, channelling soul and pop energy with a certain theatrical and Bowie-flavoured flair. Born out of Covid struggles, the song aligns perfectly with Major Kami’s past catalogue. A worthy offering, don’t overlook it!
