Love Ghost’s career seems to be proceeding at incredible speed, causing the project to have a fantastic productive streak – we know something about that! A frequent feature in our publication, the American talent has found a fertile creative home in Mexico City, allowing him to connect with like-minded creatives and producers. ‘THE SPEED OF DREAMING’ is the strongest evidence of that.
A four-track EP, the record was entirely recorded in the Mexican capital. In it, we find an eclectic selection of punk-pop anthems and hip-hop bangers, showcasing Love Ghost’s eclecticism and charismatic character. ‘BE NOT AFRAID’ opens the dances with the project’s typical hip-hop punk style, a blend that’s perfect for the Los Angeles singer’s raw, poignant and sharp tone.
‘ESPEJO’ enlists El Santi’s help, navigating a more traditional hip-hop formula. The dichotomy between English and Spanish lyricism is a joy to listen to. ‘Luna Azul’ with Helian Evans and Monde takes guitars back to center stage, before ‘WALLFLOWER’ expands the sonic horizon towards poppier territories.
