Loucas Bretz’s Instrumental ‘Hotel Melody’ is a Winner

Drawing on inspiration from Arctic Monkeys ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’ and Serge Gainsbourg’s ‘Histoire de Melody Nelson’, London-based musician and producer Loucas Bretz offers up his new and wonderful instrumental piece ‘Hotel Melody’. The lounge-esque, electric guitar-filled tune is a seriously groovy and easy-going track that effortlessly builds itself up before reaching its crunchy crescendo. It’s floaty, airy, anthemic, and just the perfect song to stick on after a long day at the office. Or just a long day in general!

Written during the cold winter months, ‘Hotel Melody’ showcases Bretz’s versatility, as he taps into jazz, rock, and lounge music to create a unique sound that’s somehow both nostalgic and contemporary at the same time. Just perfect!

Whether it’s Animals as Leaders or Godspeed You! Black Emperor, I’ve always been attracted to instrumental music. It offers you the chance to create your own story, and feel the music in whatever way you see fit. I’ve fallen pretty hard for ‘Hotel Melody’ I have to admit. Bretz’s guitar playing is extraordinary, and I honestly cannot wait to see what he gets up to next!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Hotel Melody’ on Spotify now:
