Junonuno Drop Infectious Kinetic Cut ‘Feeling Good’

‘Feeling Good’ is a euphoric dance-pop trip, a carefree, playful cut packed with hints of nostalgic references and a like-minded visual counterpart. Meet Junonuno.

Junonuno are rather adamant about the kinetic charge that propels the whole project. A glance at their Instagram bio gives us a wildly crucial warning: “Do NOT try our moves at home if you live on a planet with gravity”… That statement will make sense after one listens to ‘Feeling Good’. Simply, the Bristol-based duo champions a euphoric, infectious dance-pop ethos, one that comes to a full fruition in their latest single. Aptly titled, the piece is rather prophetic about its consequence; ‘Feeling Good’ drives a mighty good time.

Inspired by 90s house and rave culture, Junonuno moves with unapologetic confidence and intriguing playfulness. They don’t take themselves too seriously, as one should, yet they know exactly where they are headed, and they are building an aural universe that supports their futuristic vision. Nuno and DJ Juno are the two talented figures behind the project, often performing with a fictional idea of themselves, which they call Uno and Twono. This might seem like a complex system, yet it just makes sense in practice. Also, don’t ask too many questions: Junonuno need to be felt, not understood.

As Nuno eloquently explains: “We pumped this song full of sugar and smelling salts. To be enjoyed in excess and without moderation”. ‘Feeling Good’ is exactly that, a partly nostalgic, partly contemporary offering packed with uplifting joy and carefree fierceness. The accompanying music video features Nuno herself, performing a self-choreographed dance in front of an animation made by Aidan Harris, filmed at the virtual production space of UWE Bristol’s high-tech Bridge Studios.
