Jon of the Shred Unveils Instrumental Album ‘Out of Runway’

If you are into lo-fi, and ethereal records, you just found a perfect match! Eclectic and daring, ‘Out of Runway’ is creativity in its purest form. Forgetting about pre-defined genre lines and common trends, American musician Jon of the Shred embarks on a limitless sonic journey crowned by its most precious quality – the ability to shred a guitar to bits. And so does he!

Released on April 1st – but certainly not as a joke – ‘Out of Runway’ is pretty serious about its artistic depth. Championing electronica, fusion rock and a healthy amount of hip-hop references, this instrumental album flourishes over a plethora of textures and guitar solos, a quirky and unique musical recipe that is bound to resonate with many admirers in the online world.

A multi-instrumentalist and producer, Jon of the Shred took care of the final result himself, showcasing an impressive curatorial flair. He also boasts a history in the sync and cinematic fields, something that’s not at all surprising judging by what we can hear in ‘Out of Runway’. As he explains: “A journey sometimes melancholic, sometimes dark and cerebral, with a 6-string bass grove and baritone guitar twang to bring it together”.
