daisychain Debut with Impressive Single ‘Stay’

A gritty, snappy and edgy slice of indie extravaganza, ‘Stay’ is the perfect entry point into daisychain’s artistic journey, and a fitting debut for the young artistic outfit. Hailing from Manchester, the group welcomes the British music industry with a euphoric and vibrant blend of retro-flavoured guitar tones, furious drum grooves and charismatic, malleable vocals.

Overall, daisychain’s sound is pretty dry and on the lo-fi side – although to be fair is also extremely eclectic and just really vibing in its own universe. Relatable and friendly, ‘Stay’ certainly caters to a wide audience, especially when taking into account the deep lyricism contained in the song.

Lissy Nicholson fronts the group with her deep and unwavering tone, creating a stark contrast with the brilliance of the guitars. Such an ambiguity works really well, giving the Manchester creatives a unique flair. Speaking about ‘Stay’, Lissy explains: “Every time I play Stay I see my friends in the crowd singing the words, because they’ve taken the time to learn them. They’re the ones that have got me through all the horrible breakups. Stay is dedicated to them.”
