About a year ago, we fell completely in love with a tune called ‘Someone Else’. Courtesy of Bedfordshire-based indie singer/songwriter Joe Bygraves, we labelled the track as “a moody, heartfelt, and unforgettable ballad”. Having waited patiently to hear what he’d get up to next, Joe finally returns with another truly special little number in the form of ‘Healing’.
Combining exceptionally beautiful piano with the artist’s deeply emotive and passionate vocals, ‘Healing’ is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard this year. A hard-hitting and heartbreaking ballad about the struggles of moving on from a person that you believed was the one, Joe sends out a universal message of grief and heartache that is sadly all too familiar to many.
Turning to the likes of Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, and Tom Grennan for inspiration, Bygraves concocts a tune that hits you right in the feels, and there’s simply nothing you can do about it. Intense, emotional, and straight from the soul, ‘Healing’ is a poignant reminder of the power of music, and invites listeners to find solace in the shared experiences of love and loss.
