Joanna Adamiak Drops Dreamy Synth-Pop Album ‘I Wish It Was True’

Warsaw-based synth-pop artist Joanna Adamiak recently unleashed her long-await sophomore album in the form of ‘I Wish It Was True’, a dreamy and ethereal journey that is simply delicious! An eleven-track offering, the record explores different emotions accompanying infatuation, from curiosity and anxiety to longing and hope. Filled with nostalgia and reflection, it’s an album that transports listeners to a realm of introspection and reverie with evocative soundscapes and profound lyrics.

We begin with ‘Scenario’, a chilled-out and mellow tune that gently lulls you into a state of tranquillity and sets the tone perfectly for what’s to come. ‘Pretend’ then steps up to the plate and offers a more energetic vibe before ‘Never Ready for Love’ returns us down to earth with a soul-stirring and atmospheric melody.

Other personal favourites include the title track, ‘Don’t Play Games’, and ‘One Day You Will Find Your Way’. Truthfully, however, the entire record deserves your full attention.

Inspired by the likes of Kate Bush, Grimes, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, and The Smiths, to mention just a few, Joanna Adamiak fuses iconic styles with her own vision, crafting an album that feels both timeless and contemporary.
