Jen Ash Shares Heartfelt Acoustic Version of ‘Paroles Paroles’

We previously had the pleasure of discovering Jen Ash’s music, featuring her soulful and groovy single, ‘Crush On You’, which we proudly described as “a modern piece drenched in sultry and luscious R’n’B.” It was clear that the American-based creative had a gift – hypnotising the listeners with gentle, yet intense vocals, so full of poignancy and gravitas.

Naturally, we are not disappointed to be discovering Ash’s latest effort, an acoustic cover of the French classic by Dalida, ‘Paroles Paroles.’ In fact, we were happier than ever: Jen’s cathartic and emotional tone perfectly fits such a minimal and iconic arrangement, fully showcasing the magnitude of her vocals. Echoing the many hours spent listening to the record as a kid, Ash pays a heartfelt homage to France’s most beloved singer, a true legend.

Speaking about the inspiration behind covering the song, she explains: “I’m inspired by Dalida’s story and her ability to translate stories in a way that women can identify with. Her music is fantastic, and I don’t want it to be forgotten”.
