James’ Room Release Glorious Anthem ‘Been So Long’

Such a good record! It starts with exciting and rebellious guitar action embodying the type of pop-rock material that ends up becoming an arena anthem. ‘Been So Long’ place itself in a slightly nostalgic position, echoing timeless rock ballads and extreme poignancy, only to explode into a glorious chorus that kidnaps the listeners into James’ Room’s personal universe, a universe where 90s influences (U2, R.E.M) blends perfectly with early ‘2000 American Indie (Turin Brakes, Rooney). The results are absolutely wonderful, and for everyone to see – and hear.

Emerging from the South West of England, James’ Room are part of the new generation of talented bands now placing themselves at the forefront of the scene. They are not your usual indie bands, instead pursuing a wider, bigger sound, perhaps channelling a stronger maturity and the willingness to appeal to a larger audience. To us, James’ Room sounds like the next big thing, and we wouldn’t be surprised to have them collect big crowds soon.

Describing their writing process as ‘collaborative’, the English outfit fully reached his goals, delivering a track that feels timeless yet incredibly specific. ‘Been So Long’ also focuses on human relationships and the complexity of love, birthing a piece that could so well empower and inspire audiences worldwide.
