Good pop records don’t emerge from a vacuum. They are often the result of dedicated and nuanced artistic work, involving a number of creative individuals. In the case of ‘Daydream Diaries’, the process involves the imaginative songwriting of American songstress Jadelyn, sharing the stunning six-track EP with her global audience. Hailing from Los Angeles, the musician, model, and actress teamed up with a terryfingly potent production team, with JP Clark (Bryce Vine, MOD SUN, blink-182), Bryan Jarett, and Rob Nagelhout polishing the record to a global standard.
Blessed by Jadelyn’s evocative, soothing vocals, ‘Daydream Diaries’ takes a rather emotional path, with a stream of dreamy pop tones and understated charisma guiding the listeners through the many corners of human consciousness, exploring both past experiences and fantasies. In fact, the EP expresses different personalities, with the poignant alt-pop of ‘Throw It Back’ playfully contrasting with the pop-rock flair of ‘How Do You Like Me Know’, and the acoustic poignancy of ‘Halfway Out The Door’.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the EP, Jadelyn explains: “Daydream Diaries is a series of songs written on dreams I have once had. Some are just fleeting, magical thoughts, some are nightmares, and some are real-life experiences I continue to relive in the late hours of the night.” Overall, this is a stunning record, one that deserves to be experienced in full, pondering when Jadelyn will hit global stardom. We reckon it is just a matter of time.
