Horizonte Lied Returns with SynthPop Jewel ‘Destello Inmortal’

Music is a timeless endeavour. Mexico synthpop and electronica outfit Horizonte Lied knows it very well, having championed their eclectic musical style for well over two decades. Their music is ethereal, almost hypnotising: picture a warm cascade of sequencers and synthesisers, complemented by punchy drum machines and cryptic vocals. What’s not to like?

Recently, the band returned with the seventh instalment of their ambitious ‘Final Remasters’ project. ‘Destello Inmortal’ is a vibrant, stylized track that captures the thrilling modernized energy of the 1980s. The maxi-single packs eight synthpop tracks, including remixes and b-sides, that pulsate with a dark and thrilling intensity.

At its core, ‘Destello Inmortal’ is a tale of love that arrives in our lives in the most unexpected moments, leaving us in a state of confusion and strange excitement. Through this release, Horizonte Lied hopes to bring listeners on an exciting journey, offering them a remastered body of work to enjoy and explore.

Overall, ‘Destello Inmortal’ is an impressive glimpse into Horizonte Lied’s ambitious project, giving us an exciting and vibrant point of view into the past while simultaneously offering us a modernized take on the classic synthpop sound. It is an essential release from the band, and one that is sure to gain new keen listeners to the Mexican outfit.
