Gary Dranow Leans Into a Heavier Sound on Latest Track ‘Digitize’

I’m beginning to run out of superlatives to describe Utah-based rocker Gary Dranow and his band The Manic Emotions. Another artist we’ve kept a very close eye on in 2023, Gary has gone from strength to strength with each new release. ‘Digitize’ is his latest offering, and it signals a rather significant deviation in the band’s sound. Leaning into hard rock and, at times, verging on heavy metal, it’s a tune that showcases the act’s ever-evolving and inventive artistry.

Ukrainian musician Klym Apalkov joins the crew on ‘Digitize’ as lead vocalist, and infuses a raw power and intensity that elevates the track to new emotive heights. His exceptional range and delivery are spot-on, and I eagerly anticipate future collaborations between Klym and Gary!

‘Asterion’ is the debut album the world has been waiting for from Gary Dranow, and it appears we’re inching ever closer to getting our wish. Scheduled for release in June of next year, it’s a record that promises high-energy rock and a rich array of sounds.

A seasoned pro and a consistent hit producer, Gary Dranow is the epitome of a true musician. One gets the feeling that he simply knows no other way, and that spirit shines through brightly in everything he releases.
