Fringe Frontier Gear Up for Upcoming Album with ‘Pulling Away’

Compared to last year’s ‘Wirehouse’, Floridian rock outfit Fringe Frontier seems to have become fiercer and rowdier. ‘Pulling Away’ is the perfect evidence of it. The group’s latest effort, ‘Pulling Away’ introduces itself with a fuzzy, nostalgic guitar riff, promptly joined by steady, punchy drums and Fringe Frontier’s earthy, relatable vocals. In fact, what we appreciate the most about the record is the contrast between such a striking instrumental and the nuanced, relatable vocals, a sign that making good rock music doesn’t have to come at the expense of songwriting boldness.

Offering hints of Americana and 70s troubadour-style goodness, ‘Pulling Away’ is taken from Fringe Frontier’s upcoming LP, ‘Songs from the Wirehouse’. Mixed by 2x Grammy-winner and Midlake drummer McKenzie Smith, and mastered by Grammy-nominee Kim Rosen, the album has certainly been built on solid ground, so much so that we expect big things from it.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Pulling Away’, the American band explains: “It catches the last moments of a relationship with a cinematic lens. It’s filled with the low-slung pulse of garage rock and the growl of classic rock ‘n roll. Play it loud!” Overall, we appreciate the vintage character behind the record, and we are confident it will appeal to many like-minded listeners out there.
