Francesca Confortini Gets Ready for Summer with Soulful Jewel ‘Solitary Walk’

It’s great to see Francesca Confortini back with new music. We previously described the Italian-born, London-based songstress as having “majestic and cathartic vocals”. We stand by our words; Confortini possess a potent ‘timeless factor’ – as we like to call it. Crafting music that will never get old, Francesca is often seen exploring the depth of jazz and soulful territories, often with understated, luscious eclecticism. ‘Solitary Walk’ is exactly that, a slice of uplifting jazz-pop goodness all wrapped in wonderful musicianship and meaningful lyricism.

In ‘Solitary Walk’, Confortini teamed up with British musician Chris Bland, building what they like to call ‘summer haze pop’. It’s partly true – boasting an euphoric, urgent character, the single flourishes on an effortless jazz arrangement, with rich melodies and intriguing solos co-existing with Francesca’s bittersweet songwriting, here exploring change and personal reckoning through the simple yet effective image of a ‘solitary walk’.

Such a transformative ethos makes sense with the seasonal changes we are all experiencing right now; as always, summer is a time of newly-found confidence and happiness, and Confortini’s elegant vocals certainly help us to find our inner truth and reclaim our emotional space.
