Feverjaw Return with Explosive, Striking Single ‘The Physical Limit’

We would describe ‘The Physical Limit’ as a solid, striking piece. It’s not overly euphoric or hard-hitting; doing a good job of balancing understated verses with all-out, powerful choruses, the single provides a very interesting summary of what Feverjaw stand for. Hailing from Cardiff, the Welsh alt-rock outfit has a high degree of explosivity at their disposal, a quality they fully embrace and cherish. Guitars are fuzzy and sharp, yet always playfully controlled and composed, making sure that the group’s sound is as compact and wholesome as possible.

Previously championed by the likes of BBC, Radio X, and Amazing Radio, among others, Feverjaw have more recently also unveiled a self-titled EP that seeks to build on the hype the project is currently experiencing. ‘Piledriver’ and ‘Something in the Way’ complement ‘The Physical Limit’ very well, offering a rougher, more chaotic take on the band’s sound. In fact, there’s a pinch of grunge in it, something that truly enriches the listening experience, in our opinion.

Alt-rock, indie, grunge: Feverjaw can do it all, in what we suspect is a witty way to grow their following. Looking forward to seeing them bloom further into a national phenomenon. In the meantime, you’ll find us on their Spotify profile – or at one of their shows.
