Discover Thurane’s Faith-Inspired EP ‘:authentic worship:’

Based in Youngtown, Arizona, the artist known as Thurane is a co-founding member of the famous Phoenix-based Christian rock act New Jerusalem. He also performed in the duo Kenyon Grey but, more recently, has been performing as a solo musician, singer/songwriter, and worship leader. Back in 2020 (we know we’re late to the party), he released a dynamic and high-octane EP entitled ‘:authentic worship:’. Featuring four rocky, energetic, and electric guitar-based tunes that each have a life of their own, it’s an album that we’ve fallen in love with pretty quickly.

The opener, ‘It’s All Good (ATAGIY)’, was wholly inspired by Romans 8:28. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”. Thurane admits that the track is his favourite on the EP, with its unpredictable nature and retro sound. I have to agree with him. It’s a banger!

‘Over and Under’ follows and it’s as solid, rich, and well-constructed a song as you’ll ever hear. I love the intricate drum patterns and the overall summery soundscape. It just puts a smile on one’s face! ‘You Gave Me (The ANSWER)’ and ‘Worthy’ round up the EP, and all we can do is urge you to give it a spin!
