That’s Eugenia Post Meridiem, for you all: an innovative, edgy blend of indie and folk sensibilities, drenched in avant-garde electronica and mellower organic tones.
While you could describe them as an Italian project, the group boasts a strong international flair. Forming in Lisbon, evolving in Berlin, and flourishing in Italy, the group was instantly picked up by Bronson Recording while performing in festivals all around Europe.
‘like i need tension” is Eugenia Post Meridiem’s latest effort, the culmination of a two-year artistic journey between a pandemic and international turmoil. In it, the band explores their full range of action: from the dreamy indie-pop shenanigans of ‘unchained will’ to the arty Radiohead-like anthem ‘around my neck’, passing by the light soulful tones of ‘whisper’.
Airy, avant-garde vibes can be felt in ‘ocean flaws’, while ‘maze of gazes’ doubles down on intricate rhythms and bucolic harmonies.
