Discover Domax’s Eclectic and Futuristic EP ‘New Moon’

Although we have featured Domax just a few days ago, we feel is compelling to also explore another release from the London-based sonic explorer. You might ask why. Well, it turns out his work is greatly flexible, each record pursuing its own path. If in ‘Volca’ the attention was given to ethereal and cosmic electronica, ‘New Moon’ strips it down further, providing a strong musical dualism made up of soulful and eclectic drums supporting Domax’s trustworthy Monopoly Synthesiser.

The results are staggering: featuring 6 tracks, ‘New Moon’ introduces a more diverse outlook to Domax’s artistry. Take for instance ‘Homeslice’, championing a futuristic afrobeat imprint. Or ‘Nebula’, a more intimate and introspective offering. Compared to the multi-talented Londoner’s previous EP, we can certainly see a wider range of influences, identified by him in Apex Twin, Neu, Kraftwerk, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Brian Eno and Fela Kuti. It is this mix of cultures and idioms that greatly influences Domax’s career, already a veteran in the industry.

Recorded at the artist’s own Jam international HQ studio, ‘New Moon’ is another reminder of why you should get listening to Domax. We promise you’ll love it.
