Die Kammer Reflect On Current Reality in New Album

It took us a while to get the hang of ‘Season V: Maybe forgotten. Maybe glorious.’ The latest effort by German/Austrian duo Die Kammer, the record is incredibly nuanced and melancholic. Reeking of British synth-pop and new wave stylings, the album reminds us of Depeche Mode, especially through the pair’s vocal qualities.

Overall, this is a rather dark, nostalgic and theatrical body of work, almost dramatic at times. The sonic research mirrors the same theme, with gritty, bass-powered electronica and tight drums dominating the scene. Guitars are dry and elegant, perfectly complementing an already compelling formula.

Over eleven meaningful gems, the listeners will have the chance to familiarize themselves with Die Kammer’s strong lyricism, showcasing all their inspired songwriting prowess and acute sensibility. As they explain: “This new album is characterised by years of personal tragedy, the pandemic and the madness that has taken over our world since then”.
