Camens Gear Up for Upcoming Album ‘WORK / LIFE / BALANCE’

Steadily pushing towards their album release in May, Northern rock outfit Camens has clear ideas about where they are going, and how they’ll get there. Their artistry developed in the last few years thanks to sheer determination and musical talent; navigating their way into an expensive and confusing industry, they were able to rally a sizeable amount of support behind them, initiating a journey of self-discovery that will eventually result in ‘WORK/LIFE/BALANCE’ – their upcoming long-length record.

While we wait for that, ‘Lying Won’t Get You Anywhere’ is bound to function as a worthy appetizer. Camens’ latest single, the track reiterates the irresistible, indie-powered fuzzy goo that awaits us later this year. Blending early 2000’s indietronica with modern guitar stylings, ‘Lying Won’t Get You Anywhere’ resembles an equal blend of British and American references, all declined following Camens’ unique sensibility.

‘Slept On The Sofa’ is the B-side attached to the single, a punchier and certainly more rock-focused offering. This is a sign that after all, they haven’t lost their Northern roots; simply, they are evolving for the better.
