Blueprint Tokyo Reach a New Milestone with Towering New Album

Writing about Blueprint Tokyo feels rather special, as we have been following the Oklahoma-based outfit pretty much for the past three years, as they slowly unveiled bits and pieces of their new album ‘Neon Circuits and the Mission of Hope’. We spoke of the band “constantly oscillating between guitar-powered euphoria and more pop lenient anthems”, something that appears to describe them very well. Whichever way you look at it, the new album is a pretty impressive offering, with a long tracklist featuring sixteen old and new episodes.

Out now via Spectra Music, ‘Neon Circuits and the Mission of Hope’ initiates a glimmering, luscious journey into rich aural panoramas and fierce, uplifting indie-rock nuggets, all delivered following Blueprint Tokyo’s elegant melodious flair and their gentle evocative flair. Something that’s incredibly obvious is the quality of their songwriting. I won’t go as far as declaring the record a pop-lenient one, but to be fair, there’s a very heartwarming and relatable element in it; it’s an album that will potentially appeal to a wide audience.

It’s also interesting to note how the production gets gradually more intricate and eclectic, with synths, drum machines and guitars becoming increasingly dependent on each other. Delving deeper into the album, Blueprint Tokyo explain: “‘Neon Circuits and the Mission of Hope’ reflects where we are as a band—bigger, bolder, and more dynamic than ever before. This album is a mix of neon-lit nostalgia, hope, and the energy of a live show packed into 16 tracks.”
