Blair Jollands Unveils New Side Project El Hula and Live Album ‘Hide No More’

Do you know what the world needs right now? More live musicians. In an industry where electronic tones reign supreme, we do miss the feeling of a rawer recording, featuring real peeps playing real instruments. Acclaimed singer and songwriter Blair Jollands is here to cater to our needs, unveiling a new side project through which he’s able to delve into traditional mellow rock and retro pop, recording through a live performance setting.

Presenting the project’s first EP, ‘Hide No More’, Jollands delivers four raw, unfiltered tracks, the direct and charming result of a group recording session. This makes for a very immediate offering: as if we were in the same room at the same time. Joined by a team of terrific musicians, Blair once again teamed up with renowned producer Gordon Raphael, who already worked with him on the past album ‘Violent Love’.

To ensure that the EP is visually appealing as well, the recordings were also filmed on Multicam (see below), a technique that allows for multiple camera angles to be captured simultaneously. Jollands plans to use this recording model in the future as well, allowing fans to experience his music in a more immersive and engaging manner.
