Bargain Bin Heroes Blend Ska and Punk in Exciting New EP

Music – and art in general, is not something your can really plan. The great ideas, the best collaborators: they all arrive when you are ready for it. It might appear casual, but we do believe it is the universe working its magic, making the right opportunities happen to the right people. Take Bargain Bin Heroes, for instance. A talented ska-punk band from Florida, it was formed after a series of fortunate encounters, bringing a group of inspired and like-minded creatives together. Originally debuting in 2018, they are now returning to the scenes with their latest EP, ‘Waiting For So Long’.

In it, the listener will be confronted by the band’s unique and exuberant blend of distorted guitars and charming, anthemic horns. Quite a refreshing take on a genre that today seems to have waived in popularity. Bargain Bin Heroes keep it alive, using their energetic, uplifting and hypnotising style to deliver eclectic punk gems, with a ska overtone.

‘Full Circle’ is your starting point if you are looking for a classic ska banger. Punchy, fast and playful, the tune is the opposite of ‘Lost and Losing’, instead orientating on deeper punk material. Overall, this constant tension between the group’s two identities makes for an interesting listen, allowing Bargain Bin Heroes to fully showcase themselves as a breaking force.
